1. Gochujang Marinade Recipe


Ingredients

Ziploc® brand slider storage bag

2small onions, chopped

4cloves garlic, minced

½(120 ml) cup soy sauce

½cup (120 ml) gochujang (Korean hot pepper paste)

1tsp (5 ml) rice vinegar
-
¼cup (60 ml) sesame oil
-
¼(55 g) cup brown sugar
Directions:
- 1 Combine the ingredients in a Ziploc® brand slider storage bag.
- 2 Add your favorite protein (we used chicken legs) and vegetables (we used carrots, green onion, green pepper and pineapple), seal the bag and shake to coat.
- 3 Place in the refrigerator to marinate - anywhere from 1 to 3 hours, for maximum “mmm.”

Grill or stir fry and serve with noodles or rice.

2. Bulgogi Marinade Recipe


Add traditional Korean BBQ flavor to this easy, weeknight stir fry or use the same recipe for your next backyard cookout
Ingredients

1small onion, roughly chopped

1ripe pear, peeled and cored

2cloves garlic
-
½inch (1½ cm) piece ginger
-
1tbsp (15 ml) sesame oil
-
2tbsp (30 ml) soy sauce
-
2tbsp (30 g) brown sugar
-
⅛tsp (1 g) black pepper
-
½carrot, peeled and thinly sliced
-
1scallion, sliced
Directions:
- 1 Make a puree of the onion, pear, garlic and ginger in a food processor or using a grater.
- 2 Transfer puree to a Ziploc® brand slider storage bag and add remaining ingredients.
- 3 Add your favorite protein (we used firm tofu) and vegetables (we used red pepper, snap peas, mushrooms and onion), seal the bag and shake to coat.
- 4 Place in the refrigerator to marinate for at least 30 minutes or up to overnight.
- 5 Stir fry or grill and serve with noodles or rice.
3. Yangnyeomjang Marinade Recipe


This spicy Korean seasoning sauce works great as a marinade for beef. For tougher cuts of meat, marinate longer – up to overnight.

¼cup (60 ml) soy sauce

1½tbsp (20 ml) sesame oil

1tsp (5 ml) lemon juice
-
1tsp (5 ml) honey
-
1tbsp (12 g) gochugaru (Korean red chili flakes)

1tbsp (12 g) toasted sesame seeds
-
2cloves garlic, crushed
-
1scallion, chopped
Directions
- 1 Combine the ingredients in a Ziploc® brand seal top storage bag.

Add your favorite protein (we used thinly sliced beef) and vegetables (we used onions and garlic), seal the bag and shake to coat.
- 3 Place in the refrigerator to marinate for 30 minutes or up to overnight.
- 4 Cook over a grill or stir fry and serve topped with sliced scallion and toasted sesame seeds.
